Urea Glazing Powder is a refined, low-formaldehyde, thermosetting urea-formaldehyde resin system, spray-dried into free-flowing white powder. Mixed with water and sprayed or dusted onto pre-formed melamine or urea mouldings, it cross-links under heat (160–180 °C) to create a glass-clear, non-yellowing, highly scratch-resistant surface film 0.1–0.3 mm thick. Unlike melamine overlay resin, urea glaze cures faster, costs 30–40 % less and gives a softer “porcelain” feel—ideal for mid-range dinnerware, airline trays and hotel porcelain-replacement lines.
